About the School
Founded in 1850, Illinois Wesleyan University, or IWU is a private liberal arts college. Located in Bloomington, Illinois, its 82-acre suburban campus is about 70 miles northeast of Springfield. Enrollment is approximately 1,500 students. IWU is in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 7% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 6 fraternities and sororities. IWU is associated with the St. John Paul II Catholic Newman Center.
