About the School
Founded in 1959, Louisiana State University of Alexandria, or LSU Alexandria, is a public university part of the Louisiana State University system. Located in Alexandria, Louisiana, it has a rural 2,000-acre campus about 100 miles northwest of the main LSU campus. Enrollment is approximately 3,100 undergraduate and 600 graduate students. Louisiana State University of Alexandria is in the Red River Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 10% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 6 fraternities and sororities. It has a Catholic Student Organization.
