About the School

Founded in 1826, State University of New York at Fredonia, commonly known as SUNY Fredonia, is a public university. Located in Fredonia, New York, SUNY Fredonia’s 256-acre campus is about 50 miles south of Buffalo. Enrollment is approximately 4,000 undergraduate and 200 graduate students. SUNY Fredonia is in the State University of New York Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 8% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 9 fraternities and sororities. SUNY Fredonia has a Newman Center.
