About the School
Founded in 1971, the University of Texas at Tyler is a public university part of the University of Texas system. Located in Tyler, Texas, its 320-acre urban campus about 100 miles east of Dallas. Enrollment is approximately 8,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. UT at Tyler is in the Southwest Conference in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 10% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 8 fraternities and sororities. UT at Tyler has a Catholic Campus Ministry.
