About the School
Founded in 1956, the University of Dallas, or UD, is a private Catholic liberal arts university. Located in Irving, Texas, its 215-acre suburban campus is 10 miles northwest of Dallas. Enrollment is approximately 1,500 undergraduate and 1,300 graduate students. It is known for its Rome Program just outside Rome, Italy where students spend a semester during their sophomore year. University of Dallas is in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division 3. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. There is no “Greek Life” on campus. UD has a Campus Ministry and FOCUS ministry and is one of 15 faithfully Catholic universities recommended by the Cardinal Newman Society.
