About the School

Founded in 1859, University of Illinois at Chicago, or UIC, is a public university with an endowment over $2 billion. Located in Chicago, Illinois, its urban campus is 240 acres. Enrollment is approximately 21,000 undergraduate and 8,000 graduate students. UIC is in the Horizon League in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 8% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 19 fraternities and sororities. UIC has a Catholic Newman Center, and a FOCUS ministry.
