About the School
Founded in 1865, University of Kansas, or KU, is a public university. Located in Lawrence, Kansas, its 1,000-acre urban campus includes several satellite campuses and educational centers around Kansas. Enrollment is approximately 19,000 undergraduate and 8,000 graduate students. KU is in the Big Twelve Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 21% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 43 fraternities and sororities. KU has a St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
