Founded in 1740, University of Pennsylvania, or Penn, is a private Ivy League university with an endowment over $10 billion. Located in Philadelphia, Penn's urban campus is 299 acres. Enrollment is approximately 10,000 undergraduate and about 12,000 graduate students. It has an acceptance rate of less than 10%. University of Pennsylvania is in the Ivy League Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 25% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 10 fraternities and sororities. Penn has a Catholic Newman Center and a FOCUS ministry.
