About the School
Founded in 1787, University of Pittsburgh, or Pitt, is a public research university. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pitt has a 145-acre urban campus. Enrollment is approximately 19,000 undergraduate and 15,000 graduate students. Pitt is in the Atlantic Coast (ACC) Conference in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 10% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 35 fraternities and sororities. Pitt has a Catholic Campus Ministry, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
