About the School

Founded in 1906, University of West Georgia, or UWG, is a public university. Located in Carrollton, Georgia, its 645-acre rural campus is about 50 miles west of Atlanta. Enrollment is approximately 10,000 students. UWG is in the Gulf South Conference in the NCAA Division 2. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 11% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 24 fraternities and sororities. UWG has a Catholic Center.
