About the School
Founded in 1873, Vanderbilt University is a private university with an endowment over $5 billion. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, it has a 344-acre urban campus. Enrollment is approximately 6,000 undergraduate and 6,000 graduate students. Its acceptance rate is less than 10%. Vanderbilt is in the SouthEastern Conference (SEC) in the NCAA Division 1. There are also club and intramural sports on campus. Around 43% of students participate in “Greek Life” across 36 fraternities and sororities. Vanderbilt has a Catholic student center called Frassati House, University Campus Ministry, Thomistic Institute chapter, and FOCUS ministry.
